Praise the Lord

A POEM ON BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST

Crescent was the moon; High up the sky

Crying were the people; In the land of dry

Lords and Barons roamed the night

Silence was there and no a light

Just then the stars shimmered; The moon shone bright

All fights stopped; The river flowed tight

Came a couple on donkey back; The women sat and man carried sack

The women was expectant and mourning a bit

Begged for cottage to sleep a bit

The man knocked the door once, twice and thrice

Neither was laughter nor cries

Owner then invited them to stable; But the women was absolutely unstable

Then came a child; As bright as moon; Though not less than a boon

As the news spread

Flew the dread

And came people to gaze and no surprise that air was filled with craze;

And only one song flew through air

"THE LORD HAS COME

THE SAVIOUR HAS COME"
